The utensils have good weight and feel, like flatwear you'd get at a typical casual restaurant versus very thin feeling camping utensils. However, the semi rigid felt case is a bit too small (short) for the items it's supposed to hold. The set is fine but you may need a different case to make it really easy to carry around and use often. In retrospect, the fact that one usually puts used utensils after use back into the case would make it better for the case to be washable.Overall, the thing (utensils) does what it needs to do.

I have always been troubled by the failure of cutting cake. If I only cut with a knife, the cake will fall very easily. After using this cake knife on the most recent birthday, the cake was cut very smoothly and it was easy to move the cake to the plate.

The materials Itself was sturdy silverware. It comes with a travel bag but is just a square of material to roll up and tie. The utensils are standard kitchen size. I could create the same out of my kitchen drawer. It does come with a reusable straw and brush for cleaning. This could be considered a travel kit but I was looking for something a bit more compact. Overall, if.you are looking for standard silverware that doesn't come out of your kitchen stock, this would be just fine. If you are looking for more travel friendly and compact, this is not a good choice.

The silverware is good quality, straws do not have those annoying sharp edges like some do, and the cleaning brush is a must have if you use your straws in smoothies or drinks other than water.

This little kit will be fantastic for the trip, a pouch to have everything they need, they can hang it on a bag or belt clip or tuck it away. Its small and compact but with a full set of full sized utensils. A fantastic gift it really seems!
