The most important thing for me when choosing what to add to my kitchen is to make sure it's made from a food-safe material. This rolling pin is made of stainless steel which is safe, lead free and BPA free. The smooth stanless steel finish doesn't need oiling and extra care like my old wooden one and the wash up is a breeze.The smooth non-stick surface makes it resistant to picking up any colors or pigments, odors, or flavors from the dough and can be simply wiped clean or it can go to dishwasher.The tapered shape design allows for precise control over dough's thickness but it got me some time to get used to it, the design allows to work with more dough at the same time basically using every inch of the width of the roller.The hollow core makes it light allowing the user to control the downward force on the dough rather the weight of the roller once again giving more control to the user over the thickness they want to achieve.The only issue I noticed is that the heat from hands can be easily transferred to the dough and cause the dough to heat up. This can be remedied by putting the roller in the freezer for 15 mins to be chilled before using it on buttery dough.Most of us probably have at least one baker in our family or circle of friends. This is the perfect small gift for that one person and it'll probably stay in their kitchen forever.

I am an avid baker. I do all my cooking from scratch, even sauces nothing is processed. So naturally I have several rolling pins, one I liked better for pastry, another I liked better for pasta dough and so on. Each had their own merits, but this rolling pin handles it all and I have tossed out all the other rolling pins. It saves a lot of space and a lot of time working the different products I make.It is a good length for my purposes as well as heavy enough to easily get the job done without wearing me out like my big pastry roller. For anyone that bakes they know there is nothing worse than an uneven roller. This one is perfectly symmetrical. The taper on the last couple of inches at each end is just enough to easily pick it up, yet you still have lots of roller space with which to work.With it consisting of stainless steel the roller stays cool which helps a lot especially when rolling pastry dough. Nothing so far, including sticky cookie dough has stuck to this roller and the clean up is a breeze. A light rinse, then wipe with a slightly soapy cloth and allow it to air-dry. You will not believe how much easier your baking will become with this roller.Now that I have tried it I would not bake without it.

Matches all my other rainbow metal stuff and is a good length, lightweight, and can be made cold so dough doesn't stick to it as much. You need to know how to use an old fashioned roller to fully appreciate it however.

This is such a unique, pretty and fun gift for yourself or someone else. I'm used to using a boring old traditional wooden rolling pin, but this is sleek, modern and most importantly, HUGE. It's perfect for rolling out a big circle of pizza dough. The rainbow decoration won't be for everyone, but I think it's very cool.My only concern would be if it will last over-time as I feel the coating might wear off or get scratched with a lot of use. I'll update in a few years if that happens, but for now I'm happy with it!

This is an excellent rolling pin that works perfectly. It has just the right amount of weight to it, is very smooth, and rolls out dough with no effort at all. Because it’s so smooth, it’s super easy to clean. Not much sticks to it, that is a major plus. It looks modern, a lot nicer than most rolling pins. It’s a great rolling pin that is exactly as described.

This rolling pin works as intended and is easier to clean than my conventional wooden rolling pin. Really like it!

I love this rolling pin. It seems very well made to me; solid and sturdy, but not too heavy. It works as it should, is easy to clean and takes up much less space in my drawer than my old, wooden rolling pin did. All in all, no complaints!

 At first I thought this rolling pin was a little weird given that it has no handles and I was worried about whether it would be effective; well it is!The tapered handles work very well and because it is stainless steel there is no need to keep flouring the rolling pin to keep it from sticking.Easy to clean in the dishwasher or by hand, easy to store, lightweight, non stick, stain proof, its perfect!

I was a bit skeptical of the material since I never used a stainless steel rolling pin. It works surprisingly well. It’s light weighted and easy to use. The quality of the pin is pretty decent. It’s also easy to clean. This became a nice addition to our kitchen.

Love it, hadn't washed it yet.. I'm hopeful its not going to rust up but I love the finish.

It measures just over 16 inches and is long enough to roll out dough for a large pie. Both ends are slightly tapered for easy handling while rolling out any dough. It's also very light weight when compared to the traditional wooden rolling pins. Since it's one piece, it's very easy to clean up.

I have been using this Berglander Stainless Steel rolling pin to roll a variety of different doughs while making cookies and flatbread. This is a french tapered style rolling pin that is hollow inside which makes it lightweight, although it looks like a heavy metal rolling pin. The matte finish smooth look of the rolling pin makes it look high quality and expensive. It is made using 18/8 stainless steel that is anti-rust, lead-free and BPA free. I like that it is easy to wash and keep clean as the stainless steel does not absorb odour or colour from the different doughs we roll.Previously, I have been using my heavy silicon standard rolling pin, so the method of rolling with this rolling pin is a little different as we have to use the palm of the hand to roll, once you get used to rolling with this type of rolling pin it is a totally different feel that I like. Its lightweight and ergonomic design makes it easy for people of any age, especially young children to handle without worrying about it rolling over and falling or damaging any surface.I like that it has a one piece smooth long design that allows me to roll different size doughs easily. Since it has a french tapered style, the center of the rolling pin is slightly thicker in diameter than the ends, which is good for certain types of doughs and baking needs that don't require us to use pressure.This rolling pin is a useful kitchen tool that would also make a good housewarming gift.

It is going to take a while to get comfortable with this. I am so used to the wooden one’s handles. But this is much wider. And the metal makes for a very smooth and easy to clean tool. Once acclimatized to it, it will make quicker work of pastries and cookies. Looking forward to putting it through its paces. Definitely not your momma’s rolling pin!

This is a sharp looking alternative to your basic large wooden rolling pin with handles. It will take some getting used to the fact there are no handles, but the smooth finished matte finished stainless steel is very nice looking and large enough for home made 12 inch pizza dough.
