The plastic serving spoons we had lasted a long time but eventually needed replacement, preferably with something sturdier. These seemed to fill the bill, and as far as I can tell after only a few days, probably will keep on doing it. Plastic can shatter. Metal doesn't, so I can probably depend on these to hold up as long as I need them..
