I don't recommend this product if you plan to leave it in the shower as that requires frequent cleaning and when the water hits the soap the soap dissolves and runs to the crevices.

I've bought a soap holder with a tray on the bottom before and I've found that can collect water, so I prefer it to have a gap, but you need to clean the gap more carefully.
