I purchased these for the color they come in and they really match my kitchen. The only thing I'm not too fond of is the handles are very hard and could use a silicone holder or something to help grip it would be a bit better.

The skimmer is as beautiful as the picture. I think it is durable because it survived the under-packaged box. The only downside is that the packaging is squeezed

It probably does transfer a little more cooking liquid than a basket strainer, but I'm willing to deal with the little extra shake it might need. This skimmer is definitely nice enough to use as a serving utensil on your table, but is quite large and probably would have fairly limited tabletop applications.
