These bowls are made of a different material than ordinary plastic, and are affordable and suitable for use, resistant to drops and damage from children.
I bought this set for my office They have great knives, I use them to cut food almost every day, very sharp and sturdy, everything fits nicely in a cloth bag, keeps utensils clean, and fits nicely in a drawer. Well worth the purchase!
I really like how lightweight these bowls are. It would make a great salad bowl if you are also into having a salad after work. They're easy to clean, and they're cute, too... and I think I'd buy them again.
They are wonderful... sturdy, and easy to clean. I've now got three sets, which I use for everything from tasting while I'm cooking to late night snacking.
